“Don’t let others tell you what you can’t do. Don’t let the limitations of others limit your vision. If you can remove your self-doubt and believe in yourself, you can achieve what you never thought possible”.
– Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
My biggest inspiration to start the blog came from the powerful song “I am a Woman” written by Helen Reddy.
Helen Reddy is the first Australian to win the Grammy for the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. She lives in Los Angeles and remains close to her daughter Traci, son Jordan and her granddaughter Lily. Helen Reddy retired from performing in 2002 and earned a degree in clinical Hypnotherapy and Genealogy. In 2014 she made a triumphant comeback with her final tour.
The United Nations declared, 1975 year of “The Woman”. Ever since, “I Am Woman” has been the unofficial anthem for the International Women’s Day.
Lillian Roxan is revered as a pioneer of rock journalism and she has been hailed by critics as the “ Mother of Rock”. Her encyclopedia is regarded as a classic work and her influence on music and pop culture remains to this day.
You all are intelligent, sexy, strong, beautiful and most importantly VERY SPECIAL women who are making the world a better place by bringing up our future.
We’ve all been there. At some points in our lives, we question whether we are doing well enough or are capable of facing all the uncertainties that might come up as we grow older. We experience feelings of self-doubt around decisions and choices we made or simply feel that we’re not good enough.
Self-doubt occurs when we lack confidence or feel incapable of doing things we need to do. People who doubt themselves experience uncertainty around things they can’t control or worry about things not going according to plan.
A certain level of self-doubt is good because it indicates that you understand what you need to improve in order to do a better job. However, persistent fear and self-doubt can hugely affect your life in a bad way.
Life is Unpredictable and uncertain: Times like these (Covid – Lockdown), channelise your energy in doing something productive. Getting stressed out or panicking is not an answer. Keeping your cool at these times is more important than ever, and this will in turn make you get the answers you need.
To be happy and be at peace within yourself:
- Live life by the day with the right attitude.
- Be grateful for what you have and try not to compare yourself with others.
- Live in the present. Look at this time as a golden opportunity to spend quality time with your family.
- Find validation from within.
- Be kind to yourself
- Take a moment to assess your values
